Hypnotherapy for tobacco and addictions
FREE YOURSELF FROM CIGARETTES
Of course, you already know that smoking damages almost every organ in your body, and can lead to cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung disease, diabetes and chronic bronchitis. It also costs a considerable amount of money every day….
Despite this knowledge, millions of people smoke today, and a large proportion of these smokers live with smoking-related illnesses.
But if you’ve reached this page, you may be ready to explore hypnosis as a way of quitting smoking and freeing yourself from this addiction that “poisons” your life on a daily basis.

Quitting smoking means freeing yourself and those around you
I smoked for over 30 years. With quite a few quit periods. But every little annoyance made me relapse. I had 5 hypnosis sessions with Evylou and haven’t touched a cigarette for 2 months. I admit it wasn’t (and still isn’t) easy, but I’ve rediscovered the freedom of no longer being dependent. It feels so good!
I didn’t believe it would happen, but it did! 1 month already without cigarettes. OK, I’ve put on a few kilos, but I’m now tackling sport and starting to run again… without getting out of breath! Thank you for helping me regain my health!
No more stressing about not having any cigarettes to hand on a Sunday evening… No longer having to walk the 5 km to buy them. What happiness! 2 hypnosis sessions and I haven’t touched a single cigarette. I still want to do a few more sessions so as not to relapse.

Cigarette smoke contains 4,000 substances, 60 of which are carcinogenic.
Why is it so hard to quit smoking?
The components of a cigarette are tobacco, tar, arsenic, acetone, additives and flavor and texture agents. Cigarette combustion leads to the formation of 4,000 substances, 60 of which are carcinogenic.
Nicotine is not carcinogenic, but it makes smokers addicted to tobacco and exposes them to toxic and carcinogenic substances.
There are even substances such as beeswax, which can explain the desire to eat sugar when you stop smoking, or vinyl chloride, which leads to a drop in libido.
It can be difficult to stop smoking until you understand how the body and mind work together. The mind has two spheres: the conscious (logical mind) wants you to stop smoking. Yet the subconscious (the body that feels things) won’t let you stop.
When the two minds are in conflict, the subconscious always wins. No amount of logic, reason or willpower can break a smoking habit. The problem goes deeper than that.
Hypnosis to quit smoking can help you gain this deeper understanding and lead you to a unique and more effective result.
Is hypnosis effective in freeing myself from cigarettes?
The critical part of your unconscious maintains (erroneous) beliefs that make quitting smoking impossible. “I’ll stop smoking when I’m ready”; “I’m very stressed”; “smoking helps me relax”; “I’m much more creative when I smoke”; “occasional smoking won’t hurt me”; “it’s my only vice”: “it’s too hard”; “I don’t have the necessary willpower”; “I have irresistible cravings to smoke”; “I’ve tried to stop smoking”; “all my friends smoke”.
As a hypnotherapist, I can communicate with your unconscious in a variety of creative ways. In this state of concentration and intention – also known as “trance” – the critical mind is temporarily suspended. Thanks to this altered consciousness, it’s possible to imagine, feel and accept not smoking. The unconscious cannot distinguish between fantasy and reality, and will accept and integrate new, healthy thoughts and feelings. In your daily life, it will be easier for you not to smoke until, suddenly, …. you do. You may find a solution to many other problems.

Of all smoking cessation strategies, hypnosis has the best quit rate: 36% at 12 months.
Smoking cessation
1 hour
It only takes 20 minutes after your last cigarette for your blood pressure and heart rate to drop.
12 hours
Cigarettes contain over 4,000 chemical substances, including carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide prevents oxygen from entering the lungs and bloodstream, and can cause suffocation. After just 12 hours, the body cleans itself and oxygen levels in the blood normalize.
2 to 12 weeks
This is the most difficult period. Most relapses occur during the first 2 weeks. You may experience headaches due to nicotine withdrawal. But in the meantime, blood circulation improves.
3 to 9 months
The smoker’s cough disappears and you breathe easier. Lung function increases by 10%.
1 year
Risk of heart disease halved
5 years
The risk of certain cancers has been halved.
10 years
The risk of developing and dying from lung cancer is reduced to half that of a person who smokes.
15 years
The risk of heart disease is close to that of a non-smoker.
4 to 6 hypnosis sessions are usually enough to help you get through this difficult period of smoking cessation.
